Link: '21 Outlook: Offensive Line A Wild Card For Notre Dame Football
many years in Balis's weightroom and is a grown ass man senior. Correll was very good in pressure games. I'm excited about him. Carroll, Gibbons, Krostofic, Baker, Spindler, Fischer, etc... We are freaking loaded with talent. You simply can't coach the size and strength and athleticism that our guys have. They are freaking beast athletes. When the crem de la crem of this group rises to the top, we'll end up with a group of five that is amongst the very best in the country. Obviously they need to work with each other and develop cohesiveness. They won't be the Joe Moore winner and that expectation would be unreasonable. But they should absolutely be top ten in the country.
I'm honestly not worried about this group. We'll reload here and everywhere else because I think we are at that level to maintain what we had this year overall. The D will be fine and the OLine and RB's and TE's will be good to go. But to fully reload to this year's level or higher, the athleticism on the edge with the very athletic and talented group of WR's needs to gel with the new QB and the game plan needs to be gotten right. If Kelly and Rees can harness the explosive talent at the WR spot and the new QB, we're good. That is a more difficult task. But the OLine will be fine. Not Joe Moore, but top ten.
I think the first three games should offer a chance for the line to get in sync (unless FSU somehow has a huge turn around) before hitting the meat in the schedule. Cautiously optimistic, I guess.
the mantra.
