It is a feel good story but the key takeaway was “ he was not a strong reader when he began college reading at only a middle school level”. And yet he got into UGA? ND can’t recruit these players and there are a lot of them out there on the rosters of power 5 teams.
Only a program or 2 can pitch like that...

win games and if they have some good students along the way then fine.
Millions of dollars of revenue are contributed to the bottom line of the school by athletes and not students (outside of tuition). Many schools prioritize this fact, some find a balance, and others attempt to shun the notion of money over academics... they generally finish lower in the sports that generate the most revenue. To each his own, but the choice is there for everyone. Don't complain about it.

write it. Posting a higher number for the average and then posting BAMA as a lower number in a thread discussing that BAMA is more focused on football rather than academics supports that case. It doesn't show all schools are somewhat close. Unless you state that because the context is BAMA is a football factory where academics are generally overlooked.
Without further details or the ability to openly communicate to pick up on context; it appears as a complaint.
Given what you intended to say. It doesn't come off as a complaint and I see your side.

kill anyone or go to prison for a variety of crimes. All ND football players could get into Oxford and don’t care about getting to the NFL.
You should know that Woody.
