It sort of reminds me of the ND recruiting classes of 1988, 1989, and 1990, where those classes were littered with NFL draft picks, and had they stuck with the 12 round format, there would have been many more. After we had pulled in that class of 89, the class of 90 was even better, and ESPN was saying the same thing.
To put it this way, there were several high school All-Americans in that class of 89 who never cracked the two deep, and one of the best running backs we ever had didn't crack the two deep until his senior year (Reggie Brooks).
