She seems to be likely to become a good ref, but she was not ready.
Will I be cancelled now for saying the obvious?
She worked her way up in the trade for 20 years, made it through the difficult selection process to get an NFL officiating job, has been an NFL official since 2015, and has gone through the same ratings process as every other official. She has worked playoff games before.

You can rewatch the game (as I said in my OP, the video highlight footage and reporting intentionally won’t be specific since people have jobs to keep). But,I know what I saw. One play in particular stands out. I await your report.
In the meantime, I’ll leave you with this gem from the Babylon Bee (and before you scream “aha!”, I’ll let you know that I am aware that it is satire).

I await your report on the 2nd Q esp.
$1000 an hour ought to do it.
You are the one who made the statement that the female ref screwed up. You were asked to provide evidence of that silly-ass statement. You made the statement and it is always the responsibility of the one making a claim to provide supporting evidence, not the one questioning the validity of the claim.

I thought we would be over that by now. First this. First that. You would think every "first" is a Rosa Parks. Just let her officiate. Let Vandy recruit a female QB if they want to. Let a female HC at Bama. Media just needs to shut up about it and let their success or failures speak for itself, just like for the guys.

The broadcasters and NFL execs ballyhooed her presence, or I wouldn’t have cared. But then I hear them puff themselves up about including a ref on the SB team - an elite honor. I see repetitive bad calls and one way tricky tack calls all first half (95 yds of penalties to KC and 5 yds to TB I heard later). I notice the ballyhooed ref is making the majority of them. And the announcers and camera men go out of their way not to show who made some of the calls on replay. The conclusion is either that she was hurried along, or she had a bad game - with the tie breaker going to how much they puffed out their chests.
It’s hilarious to watch the straw man responses to this calling out that the emperor has no clothes.
I don’t care who won the game.
I don’t think KC would have won with good calls.
I could care less about Tom Brady.
I could care less that a girl is doing the SB.
I just want good reffing from a merit based system. The signaling from the NFL tells me that it didn’t happen here.
I was giving the ref the benefit of the doubt that she was rushed along, and I do think that happened.
Which is how she got there.
List the calls you objected to, not some generic she was making most of them (which I don't think is true).

Even if she did mess up a call (your opinion), it did nothing to determine the outcome of the game.
Aside from officiating, I think TB won the game in the trenches. Solid run game and Brady had time to throw. The Tampa D-line kept KC off balance and I don’t recall Patty Mahomes being that rattled in his short career.
As far as the holding/PI penalties against the KC secondary, it was ironic that early in the game, Tony Romo indicated how much they like to hold, etc.

And Mahomes supporting cast dropped a few passes as well.
Lighten up Francis.
on both lines. Kelcie as good as he is dropped a big one early. Number 17 may be fast but he quits on the ball and patterns too. And being pro receivers they should have caught two or three more which bounced off their heads or hands. But Tampa's defensive line was awesome or the backups for KC just stink. Man at the pro level you would think there would be adequate backups.
She was the down judge, Other than her pony tail, she was pretty much unnoticed, the sign of a good official.
The 3 down field officials and the ref had bad days; the line officials were fine.

I'm all for equality of opportunity. I can't stand equality of outcome. I don't think a man would be rushed into service for the super bowl if he wasn't ready...I was under the impression the SB was for the best of the best in regards to refs. Jeez...
