What's with this address? Maybe I'm late to the party but is it possible ND is actually looking for ways to deliver ND Football over the internet? That would be awesome if so. There's really no need for a "TV Contract" anymore. Just move all that to the interwebs. It would be nice to at minimum have the option in the event TV was blacked out or on a channel that doesn't play everywhere.
I mean D3 schools are doing it so why can't big schools like ND?

It will probably get more complicated. The Power 5 + ND may leave the NCAA and then there is the paying the players thing.
value and is really more of a burden and money suck to all schools at this point. They are a "governing" body when it seems to fit and benefit themselves. It by and large mostly acts to siphon money off the schools at large. For the most part, they only govern after the fact or when it seems to be in their own best interest. The NCAA has aided and abetted the bad behavior and turned a blind eye as long as it has padded their fat and happy pockets.
There is no need for the NCAA anymore. They are equivalent to an unnecessary middleman salesman. The internet has killed these roles in most other industries and it's time for it to do so to this shoddy institution (NCAA).
A bag of rocks could run the FBS and it would still make Billions.
BTW, same for the NFL. Roger Goodell is paid $40 Milion for just showing up.

You can have a paid 4-year ride (really just 4, 1-year options that aren't guaranteed to be renewed)
OR
You can have x% of total annual football revenue (concessions, ticket sales, memorabilia, shirts, et el) each season for 4 years.
See which one they take. My guess is it won't be the "scholarship". This and only this will A) send the money where it's deserved - to the people putting their body on the line and B) It will prove there is not value in a scholarship in the manner is commonly portrayed.
Don't get me wrong. Learning is great. But 70%+ football players aren't going to college to learn. They are going to play football and with the hopes of making it to the NFL. No one says, I dream of one day playing football in college in order to can get a degree.
