Especially Diggs.
Not because of the crash, but because he hasn't been the breakout back the team needs.
Wish the guy the best, though.

Likely get community service in lieu of jailtime. Probably suspended for at least the opener, but hopefully he's not kicked out of school.
Only it was a Lamborghini, not merely a BMW.
Hard to understand why the "it wasn't me driving" defense didn't pass muster.

It was a sweet car but came with a sad story. My roommate and I went to the same high school but lived on different sides of town (in more ways than one) and didn't know each other much. His family was rich, mine not so much. I ended up friends with his older sister and lived with him and his brother at ND for one very long year. Alas, it turned out his dad, who served as president of his father-in-law's business, was embezzling and ended up committing suicide when it came to light.
My college roommate had a Camaro that literally and spontaneously caught on fire the night before our yearly Pig Roast. Don't know I'd that is relevant but I am C'Bo fan and hope all involved are ok.

Recall, both Jeff Samardzija and Tommy Rees were charged w/ fleeing back in the day.
Come on, who didn't wreck their BMW at 3AM back in their college days?
Not a good look for C'bo, but let it play out.
But, theses days, not as necessary of a skill set. More video gaming than beer drinking.

This is why you need team depth and out going transfers can come back and bite you in the rear end. Let the facts play out and see what happens.
Fleeing the scene, lying to the police, and that's just the start of his problems.
Having signed Audric Estime in the last class looks even bigger than ever now. He's going to get some serious playing time this season.
He was one of the all time greats and ran from an underaged house party just before he was to report to campus as a Freshman. It was news in the local paper and no punishment served at ND. My question is....how does an elite WR get caught by police when they are bogged down with all their gear? It turned out that the youngun had an outstanding trouble free career at ND, a big time contributor to his local community, and remains a fan favorite till this day. Sometimes, a quick bad choice can turnout to be a life lesson.
The Shark was an 18 year old kid who wasn't even on campus yet. C'Bo is an established senior.
Also, running from an underaged party is a LOT different from fleeing from the scene of a car crash. The former is a misdemeanor at best. The latter is looking like a felony, given the damage he caused, and we don't know if drugs / alcohol were involved either.
What was ND going to punish him for?
That is a game. Cops try to catch the kids. The kids try to get away. No harm done as long as no one gets behind the wheel of a car after too many beers.
