and he is uninterested in the student players around him. This is about him getting to the next level, making money now
for his father and has nothing to do with the collegiate experience or receiving a degree.
I could be wrong but his body language says it all.
He's a copycat Cushman.

I don't think any of us really know what has been motivating Dante Moore as to where and when he is choosing to commit. I have no reason to confirm nor deny whether or not he is a quality person, solid citizen, team player, or values academics. Based on his film, he has demonstrated that he is a talented quarterback who could potentially be highly successful at the collegiate level. That being said, I don't think that it is unreasonable for a fan to question whether or not he was ever serious about committing to Notre Dame. Perhaps the staff recruiting him and fans were much more serious about him coming than he actually was. I agree that his body language seemed to indicate that , as well as his actions throughout his recruitment process. His priorities regarding his visits, both official and unofficial, as well as his other football related activities he participated in consistently made it clear that Notre Dame was not a priority. That being said. I have no reason to trash the kid or praise him. And it this point, no one really knows whether or not the Notre Dame community was really betrayed or mislead by him regardless of how they may feel about him at this point in time.
And if you are going to create imaginary scenarios about someone's son on world wide innerwebs, would it not be better to say kind & positive things about a kid that (most likely) you have never even been in the same room with?

If he wants ND he will end up here.

ND he was good and then reneged, I have a problem with that only from the standpoint I'm a handshake, verbal agreement kind of guy. Yes, life is short and he should do what's best for him, but a person also has to honor his word. Just as I'm not a fan of a school pulling a scholarship, I can't endorse a kid being, as we used to say, an Indian Giver. If Moore said he was high on ND but didn't commit, then I fault Rees and Freeman. We may never know the full details, but something went awry.

I'm entirely in agreement with you that he wants early playing time, and that the NIL money is certainly an incentive.
I can't entirely discount the idea that he's in it only for the sports, and cares nothing for the academics. At the same time, I don't see any glaring indications the other way either.
I think everyone here has moved on from him. We have the guy we wanted in the 2024 class (Carr) and we have three QB's who look like they won't hold back most of the playbook. If we really need someone for 2023, we'll find a warm body in the transfer portal.
Now, that being said, I really wish we would have made a harder push for Chris Vizzina, instead of putting all of our eggs in one basket regarding Moore.
