This kid can fly. Without elite speed at WR Bell could become a playmaker in the slot. College ball is all about matchups and he'd be more valuable on offense. Reminds me of Theo Riddick. Maybe a little faster.
Theo Riddick ran a 4.68 in the 40 at the combines. He had a really good initial burst, but his top speed wasn't exactly top notch. If anything it was a lot like Darius Walker's speed.
Michah Bell has an excellent burst, but also excellent top end speed. We haven't seen this blend of initial and top end speed ever since... Nah, won't unfairly compare him.
You can say it... Bec...trackwise...Other than Rossum...there hasn't been... anyone on the roster this fast since you know...
Players who are that fast...his speed is only useful when he's running deep...that's probably 20% of the throws he'll see. But his speed on offense is a threat a 100% of the time. And he's a lottttt faster than Riddick. I think he could be a Deanthony Thomas type for ND. He should be in the slot and in the backfield. This notion about guys being too small to play RB has been debunked in recent years. The game has changed mightily...with Bell at RB/WR ND has a chance to be nuclear on Offense.
I agree most of the burners we've had in recent memory seemed to have wasted away in the secondary, Pride would've been a terror on offense as his Prep tape showed he was a very good offensive player and dynamuc return man....Bell is world's faster than Theo Riddick
Pride had tons of tape on offense and ST. How does he 0 touches?? The prior staff had no thoughts of creativity with unique players...realllllly hoping that changes with Freeman
Crawford as well and got injured in the process🤦🤦
Totally was gonna mention Crawford but his ligaments just didn't hold up. Kid had crazy athletic talent. Easily could've been NDs Adoree Jackson. Equal track speed and football speed as Jackson...not sure BK and co would've had the ingenuity to use him the same.
