was his composure and his team played a lot of much smaller and less skilled competition.
Again, his composure and his sense of where he is on the field at all times is really very good.
He knew where his receivers are, and he keeps his eyes always down field when scrambling.
Is he worthy of the No. 1 recruit? I don't think so. I'm not sure he's the No. 1 QB but he certainly looks
like he has a goodly amount of talent enough to be rated a high 4* in the least.
It all gets real for him next year when he arrives on TX campus.
Carson Wentz or Josh Allen. He's talented but it doesn't jump off the screen. If either of those guys were named Carson Manning or Josh Manning...there's no way they end up at Wyoming or North Dakota St.
Arch definitely is benefitting from his last name but because of his upbringing and playing in a big HS program...he may be more able to deal with big-game situations at a big program than a kid more talented than he who doesn't have the same background.
More like sour grapes Lawrence played with amazing talent as a Prep and College player and as a Pro looks OVERRATED, Luck was a legit 5* talent as us Manning I think the last name has ppl nitpicking more than anything he's an Elite passer who can also run out of trouble if needed, Arch will flourish just think he chose the wrong school
Urban Meyer kept trying to force his college schemes for the spread option in the pros, and judging by the results, didn't do too well. Lawrence is lucky he didn't end up on the IR.
Doug Pederson knows how to develop a QB, and I suspect you'll see Trevor Lawrence have a very nice rebound year.
Arch Manning's tape does't scream legit 5*. Justin Fields tape was far better. Tyler Buchner's tape was more impressive showing more speed and as quick a release and he'd been a 5* if not for a weak performance at an off-season camp. If his tape was electric no one would say a thing. I think it's because his tape is just good and I don't think he's showing up at any of the camps the other top QBs have been at so folks have nothing but his tape to keep rewatching. If he went out and competed and stood next to some of these guys and threw ball-for-ball maybe we'd see just how much better he is or isn't.

Cory Diaz is a big time shill for anything Louisiana. I suspect he's simply angry that Manning didn't give LSU a closer look.
While it's true that Manning's junior and sophomore seasons aren't as good as his freshman season, that's a rather skewed view on things, since he didn't attempt nearly as many passes as he did as a freshman.
He still had some really nice numbers, especially when it comes to keeping his INT's to a minimum, and he's a proven commodity in the high school football world. As far as I can tell he has a good eye for the game, excellent timing, very good accuracy, and a strong enough arm. Almost every FBS school wanted him, and that simply doesn't happen to a 3 star player with a big name attached.
To put it this way... He's going to do just fine at Texas, barring some freak injury or mental setback.
I know, I know...they whine a lot.
