Since last year and watching current practice highlights, Buchner has a very low release point and notice that before every time he releases a pass, he "pats" the ball.....coupled with the fact he's only 6'1", I'm afraid he's going to have a more than usual number of blocked passes going forward.
Clausen just let it rip. Quinn would pat the ball quite often. Whatever works.
Most pro-style offenses do best with taller QB's (at least 6' 2") but spread offenses do fine with shorter quarterbacks, where even a 5' 10" Everett Golson could thrive. Ian Book did just fine at 6' 0" (and that was a rather generous measurement).
Buchner's going to be just fine.
would do.

They have run him with reckless abandon in the past, and running seems to be what differentiates him other QBs on the roster. It is hard to believe he will stay healthy for the majority of the season the way they use him coupled with his injury history.

throwing lanes. His mobility can create some throwing lanes. It may not be easy but can be done. We need good bounces and to move the chains.
.not concerned at all with his mechanics

QB is too much of feel position to mess with that. It is what it is at this point. Philip Rivers was one of the most prolific QBs ever with a very awkward release. Didn't affect his game...he just was on teams that couldnt get over the hump. Tom Brady's release is slow. Aaron Rodgers release was highly criticized...
I am not concerned at all.

It’s all about confidence. And Tyler has it. He will be fine.

At 6'1" he needs to find the open passing lanes anyway. He's not going to be throwing over 6'5" linemen with their hands up. Not on short to intermediate routes anyway. There are pros with ugly mechanics too.
"Patting" the ball is a non-issue too.
Just let him lose
