Quinn was not the most hands-on of coaches and his assistant Chris Watt did most of the teaching. Watt went on to coach at Tulane I believe and when the players that were coached by Hiesand and Watt either left or graduated, the reduction in the quality of play was noticeable. I think a lot of it is erasing bad habits and teaching proper technique.

Remember when Quinn put together that great line a couple of years ago and the rumors were that Harry (back in South Bend after being fired by the Bears) was supposedly coaching them in his living room after practice. Who do you think started that rumor.
Harry is a decent offensive line coach, just like Quinn was. But he certainly is not the greatest offensive line coach in football, like the Hiestand lovers like to pretend.
