-Frank Vitovich on the Single High podcast this week
Funny, but true. He was a highly rated QB who provided a spark several times last year.
I didn’t know if I could tolerate listening to the pod this week after the loss, but it has been good thus far.
I honestly forgot that he was a highly rated recruit, but I don't follow recruiting much.
I don't know if it was Greg in the Hit and Hustle or if it was on the Single High Pod but I agree that if we try to run the same offense with Pyne, we will have the same result. Also how is it that we have a check with me on the sideline that tells us to run into 8 man fronts?
This is a come to Jesus moment for the offensive staff, we'll see what the response is.
instead of playing hard.
I say call the play, let the QB make the audibles based on what he sees out there and if he makes incorrect audibles, Coach him up as those live mistakes can be some of the best teaching moments.
I think as a player that would kill me to get a play, get into my stance ready to crush someone and then have to stand up look to the sidelines and get a new play call with 9 seconds left on the play clock.
Drives me nuts watching it, can't imagine how this inspires confidence in the players.

due to the way the D is set up it's not working (they usually shift anyway). Run the play you want
to run and make them stop you (Holtz philosophy). The QB can always call an audible if need be.
other schools do it right. We do it very poorly and very slow which defeats the entire purpose. It's like the design of the rest of the offense. Just plain terrible.

He's not the most talented but I think he runs things the best. Granted, he did lay a turd in the spring game. I believe the offense will be better off. We shall see.
And neither team was all 1's
