Yes they were, with all that talent, Irish coach,
Dan Devine went ultra conservative and back to the basics to defeat Purdue 10-6.At that point of season,3rd game, Devine just wanted a win. Great job by him getting team untracked.

I listened to that game,very frustrating,
ND drove all day, couldn't score even with Montana, The game 2, a 28-14 loss to scUM, I attended.
