I like Lacey. I always wondered why he didn't see the filed more. Each time he sees the filed he seems more disruptive than some of the others ahead of him. i.e. California, last year's Wisconsin game. I wish him the best and whoever lands him will be getting a beast.
No idea why, but to me he hasn’t really improved any since he’s been at ND.

If he goes where he will be a full time starter this was a wise decision.
Since he's a fellow alum I wish him the best.
Against eligibility rules.
Smart move by Lacey. He got a chance to showcase his potential for four games, and the big game he had against Cal will certainly pique more interest among the higher level programs.
This way, he also preserves a year of eligibility.
The main thing here, though, is that others were getting more playing time, such as Howard Cross, Gabe Rubio, and a couple others. It made perfect sense for him to enter the transfer portal, and I don't begrudge him in any way, shape, or form, for doing so. I'm proud to call him a fellow ND alum.
He has his degree, and he's going to make some other team very happy.
