The best thing that Jenkins ever did was to launch Tyrone. It was the first thing he did when he took over as president.
It took stones because Ty just finished the third year of a five year deal, and all the previous coaches were given at least five years. Douche bag AD Kevin White made rumblings of racism, but Jenkins stuck to his guns.
But times have changed, and now Jenkins and the boys are as woke as they come, so it would kill them to fire Freeman. They will hold out as long as possible.
And I'll keep pointing it out until the knuckleheads on this board realize that. Yes, Freeman might turn out to be a bust. But to judge him definitively in the 1st half of his 1st season is absurd. Give him time to right the ship.
as evidence it might be OK, while ignoring the looong list of forgotten names that have failed miserably as first time HCs over the years.
You clung to Kelly until he was gone, then switched up, I expect you'll do the same here despite what the on field evidence screams.
When we've hired with prior college HC experience, ty was our worst (only true disaster) and Kelly was our second worst...all the rest, even names you don't remember, did better than Kelly.
When we hired without, Rockne was our only success and all the rest were complete dumpster fire disasters. The results are literally inverse, it doesn't take a genius to see the path of least resistance here.
