The big problem is the inexperienced, incompetent head coach. Some even suggested Golden go.It doesn't work, they tried that with Faust.Youre just delaying the inevitable.

Being a nice guy isn't helping Freeman. His inexperience shows.

unimaginative and feckless - and he needs to go somewhere else to be that or should trade in his shingle for another position.
Like Brian Kelly... Maybe he'll bolt for LSU.
This team will not be successful as long as Rees is the OC.
A good coach has to maximize/utilize the talent he has. Rees simply doesn't have a clue. NOT ONE! Talent issues may be an excuse against the OSUs of the world. It shouldn't be against the Stanfords of the world.
Typically, a new head coach is allowed to hire his own staff, especially at the key positions. And it is pretty standard to hire a strong Coordinator on the opposite side of what the HC is strong at.
ND did that just the opposite. We have a fully experienced DC and a novice who only knows one system at OC.
Who OC is he's in way over his head.

for the first 3 quarters.
Your turn, specifically what has he done to fix the offense, or the rest of the team for that matter?
You can argue Freeman is the ultimate man in charge, which is obvious, but giving Rees total control made sense. Especially with how the offense clicked the last two games.
But now it's obvious he has to do something. My thought as just an outsider is to make Gerad Parker the co-OC, even if unofficial, to give Rees something else to consider.

go in the middle of the season would look good to a replacement he may wish to hire at the end of the season.

conundrum. Just good enough.
That likley?
fired as an ND football coach. It literally takes years AFTER it's an obvious bad fit.
