On his Irish breakdown 1pm live show is just trashing the coaches. Especially Rees. And calling the Irish out for not Utilizing players properly not putting players in situations to win and not putting the best players on the field. Now they are talking about they don’t want to hear Rees talk anything about talent he recruited a bunch of these players he’s been with the team for six years. They need to fire rees

you want him to say things are great.
himself and sticking pins in Brian Kelly dolls. He is accurate some of the time, but his assessments are often times contradictory and self serving.
but accurate.
I was a paid subscriber and quit because of his points of view. I'll give you a couple and maybe you can tell me where his assessments were right:
1. When Dante Moore began to slip away, he heavily critiqued those who opined that maybe we should move on and recruit another QB;
2. He loved Rees without reserve;
3. He thought the Freeman hiring was the best and consistently claimed that he would take Notre Dame to the next level. No nuance whatsoever.
4. He thought Buchner was just going to play lights out and ridiculed those who thought that maybe he wasn't a very good passer and that he was injury prone.
5. He was staunchly against getting a QB in the portal because of the above;
6. He predicted a victory over Ohio State, smh;
7. He predicted 11-1
8. He thought Rees was restrained by Kelly (he was right but for the opposite reason);
He has no nuance. He never acknowledged that maybe Freeman would need some time to gain experience and thought he would lead us to 11-1, no problem. He was wrong on so many accounts showed disdain to those who didn't agree with him. I'm not making this stuff up. Everything above is 100% true. To sum it up, he was dead wrong on almost all accounts. Just ask him if any of the above points are wrong. I didn't renew my subscription and am quite happy to have replace it by Irish Illustrated with Tim Prister, Tom O'Malley, Loy and co. Even they had shown doubts about Buchner.
Now tell me, where was he right? He is just now starting to see the light, but surely not before the season began. I'ts too bad because he works his butt off, as well as his staff.

what's wrong with the offense and why playcalling is way behind the times. Why the brand in general is way behind the curve of what is happening in college football. A lot of points over the last two years in that general sense and coaching issues that do not improve as well as player development and roster management issues that are repeated incessantly.
I don't have specifics. I don't pay for the service nor do I follow it a ton. I just know that stuff that are glaring problems he tends to point out and then you guys figure it out 8 games later while bashing him in the moment.
Sure he's not 100%, no one is. But his broad strokes over the last 2 years about the issues that continue to plague this team have been accurate. If corrected ND football would get a lot better, faster.
Instead, it's more of, "see the big chalk circle on the brick wall? Slam your forehead there again. And, again, again, and again.". We make the game of football look extremely difficult. A lot more difficult than it really is.
And that is he wasn't good, at least in these instances, in predicting the future. Predicting the future and analyzing the present and past are two totally different things.
Who here predicted this shit show other than Jakers who I believe predicted 7-5?
3/4 of this board thought Buchner was second coming of Patrick Mahomes. That we had future NFL stars on defense. That Tyree was something special.
He’s no worse than 99% of the bullshit prognostication on this board.
Amen!! Thank you for confirming that I didn't imagine all that shit!

You are wrong about that!! It is one thing to be critical of Kelly as a football coach. Many have been critical of Kelly and the consensus among most who follow the program is that Notre Dame is better off without him long term. I agree with that. However, with Driskel it's just personal and even petty. Driskel tends to be a moralizer and disapproves of Kelly because he doesn't live up to Driskel's moral and ethical expectations which often times have nothing to do with Kelly's effectiveness or lack thereof as a football coach.
listening to Driskel and have found most of his perspective is based on football analysis. He's not paid to provide balanced feedback, but I do find he's very complimentary when justified.
maybe that I'm biased because many times it's what I'm also thinking. He more or less says what the staff really needs to be reflecting hard on. The things it appears they are ignoring. I say appears because it takes way too long for them to adjust.
Everything else is like listening to Pete Sampson ask a question. You know he's never going to ask the hard question everyone wants to know. The one that rightfully needs to be asked.
I actually do listen to him and find much of his analysis and criticism to be insightful. But when he gets on these Kelly rants and becomes self righteous, I have to turn him off.

Who the hell is keeping Tobias off the field? Assuming UNLV will run the same D that Marshall and Stanford ran, what is Rees and MF going to do about it? Stubbornly continue down the same path? Any in-game adjustments? Or is Rees going to try and force his QB and offense into an offensive scheme not suited for the personnel he has playing for him? A simple Irish fan wants to know. Finally, it might be time to get some of these young players on the field and let some of these Senior team leaders sit for a spell. Our team leaders have led this team to two terrible home losses. Let's see what we have?
hear it.
