It was highly unfortunate that Swarbrick forced Freeman to accept Rees as his OC. Normally new coaches hired an accomplished pro on the opposite side of their strength. Freeman made an excellent choice with Al Golden and wasn't allowed to make a similar choice on offense.

I had believed he would finally be "his own man," and call a game outside of the WWBKD box.
At this point, I'm freely admitting that I was wrong, based on his playcalling throughout the first half of this season. Instead of expanding his vision, he retreated into his turtle shell that Brian Kelly made for him.
