Looking back 30+ years, I am not sure an un-ranked ND team has ever dominated a top 5 team.

The last one I remember was at #1 Pitt on November 6,1982.

An unranked Gerry Faust team went into Pitt and throttled the #1 ranked Panthers 31-16 and then proceeded to lose their last 3 games to Penn St., Air Force, and USC. Hopefully, this time our season will end much differently.
