talent needs to play right now.

I forsee him having a revival year like Maurice Stovall did in 2005.
Before that, many folks called him "Stonehands Stovall," but in the end, he shut them up quite nicely, turning in one of the finest seasons by a Notre Dame WR.

Happens when you have a QB who cannot throw much, and when he does only looks for one player.
Either can still be a factor.
A track guy who never became a fully functional football player.
I think Styles still has possibilities as a slot guy if Rees can ever figure out how to run a real offense

had over the last 10-12 years. Yes, the overall talent is the highest it's been since pre-1993. But, we've had way too many busts by the same token. I can't believe for a second the ratings are that off and we happened to get all the overhyped guys.
We have to consider what happens when a talented person sits for too long. Then they lose confidence, interest, or whatever it is. But, they don't play with the same fire. Then their production goes down and then the snowball starts. That's where Styles is. He played early though. Probably not as much as he should have relative to the big plays he had but he played. For whatever reason though, this year he's been shelved touch-wise (early on) and his confidence whether from coaching, touches or something started to go downhill. Now, it's just out of control.
Styles honestly, looks like what happens to our QBs once they got to Kelly. Good to trainwreck. That's what happened every time, except with Book. And he even regressed his second to third year.
