for some time now. Four weeks I'd say. We see what Pyne is. All of us do. A great kid that doesn't have the athleticism to do much more than manage the offense and make a few important plays a game to help the team like he did against Clemson. We also see that he is truly balling out to the best of his ability. That is not an irrational view in any way.

night (barely threw for 50% and only 85 yards). Maybe they are trying to build his confidence, who knows.
I get that the punt block and return was a big play, but I'm not sure Botelho and Kollie deserve game balls for a single play.
None of these guys were remotely worthy compared to the OL and RB's. Bertrand played an excellent game. 12 tackles, 2 TFL and a sack.
It is a real headscratcher.

us out of trouble?
down. In my opinion, the most important thing he did was to manage the offense. Shifting the sets, late breaks from the huddle, tempo, etc... That is what he did best last night and I think that was important to keep Clemson off balance. But he also barely completed 50% of his passes for 85 yards and had a bunch knocked down. He was 1/6 throwing on 3rd down and didn't throw for a 3rd down conversion all game. Both Diggs and Estime ran for more yards than Pyne threw for. He was not asked to do much because he wasn't capable of doing much.
So, I'm sure there is a good reason he got the game ball. And good for him, he takes a lot of crap. But for anyone to claim he got that game ball for his stellar play because he's playing amazing is nothing short of ridiculous.
accurate. Now when we have a much fuller body of work, he ignores them including his QBR. Now it’s well he’s 6-1 and did things with his legs. The only reason we aren’t 7-0 is essentially Pyne in the Stanford game.
I don’t hate Pyne at all, but I call it for what it is, same as Buchner. He can and did manage a good game against Clemson. But to say, he’s anything beyond a mediocre at best FBS QB is laughable.

You just refuse to recognize what he is, mediocre and average. Enough to manage a game, and that’s about it.
The punt block TD set the tone for the rest of the game.
