He won't be entering the portal until after his bowl game.
5yrs, low comp %, a lot of pass yds, high INT rate and no rushing yards. Really exciting
He has looked good but the stats over 5 years don't exactly wow anyone. I'd be much more interested in Card.

Hard to say. I think they know he plans to enter the transfer portal.
ND is one of the only schools following the rules, so they probably won't start actually recruiting him until he enters the portal and he may shut down ND at that point. So no guarantees. The only thing being reported is ND is going to wait to see who else enters the portal. That indicates they are not sold on Hudson Card and believe at least one player likely to enter the portal after the bowls are played, likely Hartman, is better than he is.
To wait for him suggests they know something. Perhaps not

always have a plan. It's just that they are cleaning up Kelly's messes currently.

This staff targeted safety as a position of need. They got three commitments and brought in an athlete to play safety or somewhere else in case Bowen flaked. They handled this WAY better than Kelly would have.
I don't know what is going to happen with the QB transfer situation, but given how they just handled safety recruiting, I think they've earned the benefit of the doubt.

Those guys aren’t here yet and we have no idea if they will be any good or if our coaching staff is capable of developing them
I don't know if they will be very good or not either
But I would say recruiting those two would be part of a plan as both have the potential to be very good.
