I saw a team that started slow and got behind. THEN, I saw a team that shook off the rust, was resilient after stubbing its toe a few times, and a team that NEVER QUIT. I'm just now checking in as the game just ended, and I'm sure many folks here wanted to fire everyone involved with that first half. I had to walk away a few times myself. We were down a few key players and still overcame the challenge. Guys got valuable experience tonight---even if it wasn't all good. BUT THEY FOUND A WAY TO WIN. Very proud of y'all. GO IRISH!

We were running well, wearing them down, and we wanted time to go off the clock...so, Reese pulled a Brian Kelly and decided to change things up from what worked to something else, and we called a pass play. WTF? Just give it to Estime a few more times.
That said, Tommy should know he has an inexperienced QB and 3 points basically ends the the game.
You are killing them up front and #7 is a man possessed. Run the damn ball.
Rees loves getting cute. You have to know that. You have to shut that cute shit down.
It’s a basic play, not complicated at all. If the safety is in the middle, throw it outside.
The play call wasn't the issue. If you don't make it you have at least two more opportunities to run the ball in. Buchner didn't make the right throw, likely due to rustiness.
You have to run the damn ball in that situation. TOMMY! RUN THE DAMN BALL!

He has to see the safety there pre snap then the throw is outside. That is not a hard play to recognize.
