Kinda points out the silliness of the Heisman awarded before the bowls.

The Heisman is supposed to go to the most outstanding player. Not a player on a winning team.

Yes, I understand the media and ESPN have basically changed the latter part. I personally wish it went to players as per the definition: "The Heisman is awarded annually to the most outstanding player in college football. "

Don't stay butthurt because Williams single handly beat ND and made the defense look silly. We're not the only ones left eating his dust. Hat tip to Tulane. A MAC school took care of business like they should.

Do I like his fingernails? No, but it makes little sense to keep whining about him because of them like so many on here are doing.

Move on. The kid is athletic as crap whether people here like it or not. For what it's worth I thought Duggan deserved it and is a more well rounded player, but oh well.

So you spend 3 paragraphs disagreeing (with strawmen) then ultimately agree?

So neither of us think that Williams was the most deserving of the "most outstanding player" award. Glad we cleared that up.

Stetson Bennet seemed like the lost valuable player on any team to me

The Heisman is a joke.

Thread Level: 5

Given how far it's deviated from the original intent, I would agree.

Yep. Losing to Marshall at home was an honor and a privilege.
