Anthony Lucas hit the portal yesterday.
He was a 5 star DL that ND was in on before he ended up committing to Texas A&M. I will remain skeptical that ND will take a Soph transfer, but he'd be a good one to try to get on.
CJ and Lucas will be examples that the coaching staff can point to when a kid is on the fence about taking a bag.

Again, what classes did he take&is he on track to graduate in 4yrs? A&M is iffy for accepting
credits anyways unless it was in engineering. I assume they probably have other decent departments, but certainly not all of them.
A Freshman can't be far behind
At worst, he's 1 semester behind in 1 subject. If ND had ANY flexibility, the kid could make up the math class over his next summer.

I'm just speculating.
Our transfers last year were from Harvard, Northwestern, and Harvard.
The transfers that I can think of off the top of my head that had more than a year eligibility were Gilman (Naval Academy), Pryor, and Carlisle as a JR, 10 years ago.
It's just not that often we see transfers at ND that aren't grad transfers.
When is the last time we got a freshman or sophomore transfer?

IDK what the policy is for transferring mid-semester. It still takes time to get through admissions. I assume he isn't interested in ND though.

…saw somewhere that Texas A&M led the way with 27 (!) transfers. I don’t know if that was actual transfers or the number of players to enter the portal, but whichever it is, they are #1.
