Buchner will play next year.
He'll also be in line to start in 2024.
I look at it this way. There will be competition no matter where you go and you can’t be afraid of
competition. In the end, the QB room has gotten that much better and that’s a good thing.

I think they both stay through the Spring then will have decisions to make.
Hartman has basically been swapped out for Pyne. It doesn't really change the depth chart much.
Buchner should stay unless he gets passed by Angeli or Minchey (very unlikely for 2023). Buchner will also have his degree by the end of next year. That's when he should make his decision about going or staying.
If Angeli gets passed by Minchey this Spring, then he probably should bail. If that does happen, it's not a bad thing. It just means Minchey is as good as advertised.
Regardless, I don't think Hartman's transfer affects their decisions. It affected Pyne's place in the top 2, which is why he left.
Spring is usually the timeframe when those decisions are made
Spring practice will give a lot more depth chart visibility
I don't see Angeli sticking around. But maybe both decide to leave.

Buch gets another year to develop and has the opportunity to start in 24 and 25. It's also a lock that he will play in 23. Guys get hurt, plus, he'll still be a valuable change of pace guy.
Angeli will get another year to develop and will have a chance to compete for the job in 24.

Disagree, Buchner has 4 yrs left of eligibility & can
either beat out Hartman, or learn from him while finishing his degree. Hell have 3 yrs left after Hartman is hone & by then eill know where he stands with Minchey
