He's more of a Pro Style receiver and not the Spread/Air Raid offense guy not the big strong target with speed nor the blazing fast slot guy that USC has been accustomed to

Developed senior high star talent generally has a much better chance of seeing more playing time than undeveloped freshmen high star talent.
To put it this way, a school that treats the transfer portal as a feeding frenzy is going to chase away some talented freshmen or sophomores who wanted early playing time, and USC's haul of 20 transfer portal players last year certainly did exactly that.
There will be more from that Class of 2022 leaving, for certain, and with 10 transfer portal players from the class of 2023, that probably cemented Williams desire to leave, especially since they snagged Dorian Singer (talented, developed, experienced WR).
I think we're sitting at 93 right now much less adding another WR and possibly 2 DL.
Which 8 (or more) players aren't going to be on this team?
It always works itself out.
We may have been at +3 last year with several logical guys we knew were unlikely to get the 5th/6th years.
We currently sit at +8 and we are still looking to add transfers.
Sure, there are some guys (Powlus perhaps Salerno) that might go off scholarship but where are the other "subtractions" -- somewhere between 6 and 9 total depending on who we might add -- going to come from?
Since we are still looking at a WR, one could assume that someone there is gone or soft. If we add two DL (Viper and Inside DL), the logical assumption is that we will subtract 2 guys from the front 7 group.
Just wondering which 5 guys currently on the team (at least) won't be on this team for the '23 season. I think there will be some surprises.

they’re at on the depth chart.
And how many of those guys want to play football so bad that they would forgo a ND degree?
And how many of those guys are going to find new "homes?" Last number I saw as the about 50% of the portal guys find new places.
It will be interesting, and I suspect that there are going to be 2022 starters that are not going to find they have they will get a 5th/6th year.
still entertaining the portal players.
