Or have a sixth year ex wake forest QB who set a record for turning over the ball six times in a quarter. Or a QB who allowed himself to get sacked eight times in one game.
I think this will be he norm going forward.
It’s a new world out there.
as well. Very smart move. He would very likely not be a top 5 pick next year with that line & losing Smith-NGiba as well.

Rookie contracts are four year deals. So kids in their first four years are all playing for that second contract. If a collective could piece together, say, $10M for Stroud to stick around another year, he’d at least have to consider it.
Maybe he flames out? Happens all the time. 10M plus his future 35M rookie contract looks pretty good. Could you live on $45M? Of course, if he comes in and performs, then he will earn many multiples times those numbers.
But no, it’s not a joke.
Plus his 4 year guaranteed deal. He will also be 1 year closer to his 2nd contract. Not to mention the REAL endorsement dollars he will get as a NFL player.
If he came back to college he puts all of that at risk if he gets injured. 10, 15 or 20 million dollars of "NIL" money is chump change. And that's if you can even trust that you would get it. Any player in his situation would have to be monumentally stupid to even consider it.

Brown was a shave under a 5 star, Keinholz is a solid 4 star.
That plus they can throw as much $$$ as they want towards transfer players.
