Can someone please point me in the right direction to read up on Notre Dame's NIL situation generally and how we compare to other schools, what we will and won't do, etc. I gather we don't do it like other schools and there is apparently less money, but I don't know that to be true and don't understand why. I assume this has been written about previously but I cannot find anything substantive....
Some of the reported behaviors seem to go outside of the guidance.

The big boys ignore the NCAA…
What’s it to you?
This is a “need to know” type of classification. Nobody here needs to know.
Leave it be.
For the record, I have no idea.
I do give & encourage giving to the FUND.
Imho, this is like asking someone what they make or what they weigh or how old they are, you can do it, but what’s it to you?

Again, I don’t wish to know your income, your weight or your age.
And to be candid, this information is none of our business.
Would you like your name, and income posted on a website at the age of 18, probably not, right? Got it? Good
Nothing is private anymore
Why is it ok for a kid drafted out of HS to play baseball to have his name, age and salary sprayed all over the internet
No idea where you come up with this shit.
When you make it big in sports or entertainment that stuff is public knowledge
Can’t have it both ways

to many questions.

College I’ve asked you age.
You can 100% answer that question without mentioning names and numbers. Maybe if you try reading his question with your head outside your ass, this will all make more sense to you.

There are a gazillion reasons to keep all this info secret… especially from the competition.
And any info you find is probably speculation. And even if some dollar amounts are correct, who knows what the T&C's say. Or in the case of this Florida QB, if they money is even there.
I remain positive about ND and it's NIL ability, but they will let the dust settle before the do a cannonball into the pool. The major thing to keep your eye on is ND's next TV contract, it could and probably will become an NIL game changer. But like I said above, I'm just speculating like the rest of them.

Games. Content, etc.
This will be on the heals of a network. Which is they they have experimented with Peacock.
If they do develop a streaming channel they can give players shows, spots on shows, commercial appearances, etc. Players would be able to collect the ad dollars as contributors.
The streaming network is Jack’s final vision. ND has built the infrastructure to do it but they need a partner. Not sure NBC is it.

However, we don't do up front "Pay to Sign" deals.
Take it FWIW. We'll probably never know details.

I'm not naive but heard it couldn't be part of recruiting, but keep hearing it is. What gives.
Why would the current framework be respected in any way? It launders all the formerly illicit payments while adding new streams.
