He leaves ND, without his degree apparently, looking for a clearer path to the field. He lands at, what appears to be a good spot for him, only to have another 5*, NIL hungry, high school QB ready to sign with his new team. Pyne could very well be the starter when the season begins, but if Rashada is as good as projected, Drew will once again be wearing the baseball cap on the sideline.
Of course, as with any of the well paid "pay for play" recruits, ASU may not be the last spot for Rashada. I'm hoping that it all works out for Drew Pyne, but I still think he would have been better off to stay at ND through the spring, finish his degree, and then look for the right fit for himself.

If Drew Pyne is as great as some people think he is, then as a seasoned senior, he should be able to win the starting job over a true freshman who isn't an early enrollee.
The way I see it, this can be his own acid test as to whether or not he's NFL material. If he can put together a good season, then he could go pro after the 2023 season. I don't think he would gain anything by staying for a 5th year if that were the case.
If he can't beat out a true freshman in fall camp, then he's probably not pro material. I'm just not sure how well he'll do at ASU with the talent there. I wish him the best, but have to be realistic.
And I definitely agree with you. Rashada probably has as much loyalty as Willie Williams did a couple of decades ago...
starting job, then it’s up to him to do what he can to earn it. The same can be said for Buchner this year or any other QB that has competition. It makes everyone better assuming it’s an honest open competition.
