Only concern with Leftwich would be how long does he stay? 2-3 years?

There's probably no fixing you. I don't know you, but you "sound" like a moron.

You're digging a hole. You're painting the Byron Leftwich rumor as DEI-related, but in reality he's a well-regarded offensive mind and has participated in 2 Super Bowls - one as a player and one as an OC. There are definitely gaps, like his lack of college coaching experience, and the fact that the past 2 seasons there has been regression in the Bucs offensive performance. That would be a reasonable take.
Instead you made nasty remarks behind an online pseudonym. Why paint with a race-related brush? If he was white, what would you say about it? I am no fan of DEI (especially the "E"), but if you removed race from the question completely would he be an acceptable candidate?

I'm not sure why you seem so certain he'll get the job by stating the day he'll be hired by.
I will very disappointed if ND's next OC isn't Moorhead, Brady or Ludwig.
Leftwhich, Parker (& I'm even hearing Skip Holtz & Mike Denbrock's names being mentioned) are lazy, low hanging fruit hires.
If ND seriously wants to win another NC, they have to do much, much better.
Wait do "much" better than former NFL QB for 10yrs who won a SB as a player then as an OC. Who learned under Bruce Arians and was the OC for the 2019 Bucs with Jameis Winston throwing for 5100yds, Mike Evans 1100yds and Godwin for 1300yds. Had the NFLs #3 offense (#1 in pass) in 2019, won SB in 2020, had the league's #2 off in 2021 (#1 in pass) and you think there's someone MUCH better than Leftwich?? And we also want someone to develop QBs?? Who is MUCH better than him?? Please dont tell me Moorhead or Brady are...Brady was the Passing Coordinator for the LSU under Burrow. Not the OC. And what's on Moorhead's resume better than Leftwich's!?
About this. The Super Bowl season was very impressive but this year was equally bad. No running game and very poor offensive line.
Let’s hope we might get the Super Bowl offense if this happens. I can’t believe an NFL guy is more than a 1 to 2 year rental.

TB12 retirement.

Before player injuries, his offense was one of the NFL’s best.

is quite a bit different....including also the time they have to devote to it. Schemes are also not as complex.
I have no doubt that he is skilled, but is he ready to come in and succeed immediatley at ND? Freeman needs someone who is ready NOW - esp with 1 yr with Hartman.
'Hi, I'm Tommy Rees. OC of the 60th rated offense in the country last year. I was a mediocre college QB who lasted a week in the NFL. I've never won anything."
How has NE looked since he left? ..and that was supposedly the NFL version of 'Nick Saban' up there coaching and it's shit since Tom Brady left.
I'm not saying Leftwich isn't the guy, I'm saying there are a lot of question marks there and saying 'he coached Tom Fing Brady to a Super Bowl' is NOT a valid answer to any of them.
He should be a back up choice based on the unknowns imo.
Would be interested in what ND's current assistants think of Leftwich.

make it to the next level. NFL teams draft players based on how talented they are not b/c their OC has connections.
Leftwich had 1 good year in Tampa Bay w/ the best QB of all time.
Point being, hiring him would be a huge mistake & very disappointing.

He has a ring as a player and another one as a coach. That’s just terrible isn’t it.
He’s an Arians disciple and he worked with the GOAT.
He can teach kids how to get to the next level.
He’s done it himself.
You being unimpressed is, well, unimpressive.
If that's the only basis for hiring him, pass

“He was the overseer of QB Jameis Winston infamous 2019 season in which he threw 30 TDs ... but also 30 interceptions. But that Bucs team was also top-three in NFL productivity.”
