Sam Hartman is struggling. Very inaccurate in practices. Doesn't look good.

Sam Hartman is struggling. When he loses two games this season. It will be time to move on to the younger guys. I expect this to happen after the Ohio St game considering they will lose to North Carolina St

They know more than you feel good posters. Who wants Hartman to win. When he hasn't one anything to prove he can.. I don't care about stats.

Thread Level: 3

You obviously don't care about basic literary either...show me one place where Driskell says

Buchner is outperforming Hartman consistently this spring. I'll wait..

It does appear Buchner has a quicker release and stronger arm. We will see.

Buchner has a VERY strong arm,, that's never been in question

But the biggest cannon arm in the World isn't much good without decision making, vision, touch and accuracy.

Buchner showed me a lot in the bowl, I came away impressed and word is he has really stepped his game up this spring and is making it a real competition.

This is a good thing, if Buchner couldn't even make it close vs a guy still learning the play book, that would be concerning.

The Notre Dame fanbase will be split no matter who the starter is.

If he's healthy I'm rolling with Buchner. He'll make some mistakes but he's a playmaker and sets ND up for the future. Hartman is one and done and Buchner might say I'm out of here.

Only because so many "fans" care more about wanting to be right than wanting the team to succeed.

-if deep down you wanted Buchner to fail last year, either because you weren't a fan of him or you were a fan of Pyne, then YOU are wrong

-if deep down you wanted Pyne to fail last year, because you were a fan of Buchner, then YOU are wrong

-if Hartman wins the job and deep down you want him to fail because you wanted it to be Buchner, then YOU are wrong

I think Hartman will win the job and will do great, but if Buchner wins it, while I'll be surprised I'll also be excited that Buchner has improved enough to do that and I will pull for him to do great and win every game.

That's what supporting the team above your own personal interests looks like.

I for one want us to win and will back whoever wins the job. I also do not think Buchner will

leave if Hartman is the starter. I also believe by game 3 Buchner could be starting.

Lemme guess: you are an infantile poster from The Other Board and STILL got run off? Post less.

And on the one day where most reported Hartman was off, they all said so was everyone else. Hartman was the best of a struggling bunch because it appeared the practice was slanted towards defense/blitz packages that day.

I'll fill you in on something since you either don't know or are just ignoring it. Typically when you are working something specific on defense or offense, you are running it against a handful of set plays so the other side has a pretty good idea what is coming. This would probably go a long way towards explaining why pretty much every defender reportedly looked like an All American that day...knowing what the offense is running will do that for you.

It's really cool that the coaches let you attend practices and file public reports on them. Thanks!

This comes with the caveat that Saturday was a blitz heavy day and the interior OL struggled a bit

Add that to the fact that Diggs and Estime weren't out there and the D was able to pass rush without having to worry as much about the run.

We have a new OC, a new OL coach, two new guards, and a slew of new recievers. We shouldn't expect things to look great this early in the Spring.

Also smart guy.. why don't you go check how Hartman did his first two years. He had to be yanked out of games for a QB named Newman

I heard OSU has been scouting him so they want him to look that way. So promise you
