Rocco Spindler
When he came, we thought he was a big deal, but the most recent articles I've seen seem to talk more about Kristofic and Shrauth, not him (and that was after the move of Jarrett Patterson to guard to fill a hole). Is Spindler in the hunt for a starting position?

Based on what people are reporting following the 6th practice...
It sounds like Schrauth, Kristofic, and Spindler are the three guys competing for the guard spots.
- Schrauth is probably going to start on the left side next to Alt.
- Kristofic (GS) appears to have the edge on Spindler (Jr) on the right side. Reports are that Kristofic wasn't very good when the media was watching. Spindler has a chance to pass him up
Carmody would also be in the mix, but he's injured and is also too small.
Rocco is a Jr now, but he hasn't been able to play well enough for reporters to stop opining about new players getting a look at RG.
- People seem to like Pat Coogan and would like to see him get an opportunity to slide to guard.
-Jagusah is a 6'6", 308lb wrestler and was our highest rated recruit in the last cycle. He's also a possibility at RG.
Generally speaking, the reports from Saturday's practice weren't very positive for the interior OL. It sounds like Rudolph has some work to do.

Freeman didn't allow much media access last spring or fall either.
It's just been quiet compared to the coaching changes last year and the OC debable a month ago, but the media was present for Saturdays practice, we've had a couple of big recruiting weekends, and there is a fair amount of coach and player media sessions up on YouTube from the past couple of weeks. There is plenty going on, it's just not all that interesting right now.
