You don't say!! Now start getting them at the major skilled positions (RB, WR, DB) perhaps

Interesting they project Alt as a first-rounder next year. Hope he plays like it in the fall.

As long as Joe Rudolph does what he should do, Alt will do a fine job

Rudolph's a smart fellow, and knows how to develop linemen, and I suspect that Alt and Fisher are going to have fine seasons.

Joe Alt's progression reminds me a lot of Zack Martin's, where he started out strongly, and steadily improved.

A higher % of 5 star players will "make it" versus the others

I know that someone's going to point out how Mac Jones was a 3 star player, or how various 2 star players manage to get become 1st round picks. That's not in dispute at all.

People just need to realize that there's such a small pool of 5 star players, and a huge pool of 2 and 3 star players, that the numbers are going to dictate that you'll find a fair number of hidden gems among that lower star talent pool. Out of all of the 5 star players, there's no doubt that a higher percentage of them are going to succeed (meaning, they get drafted, or drafted early, etc) compared to the lower star folks.

If you get 5 star talent, then those players are more likely to succeed, as long as their coaches don't destroy them.

it’s both math and genetics. Less 5 stars make the conversion %’s higher. Most

can see a 5 star and know he's a 5 star. They are truly men among boys. If they are coachable and stay healthy, they are going to get drafted.

Of course they matter. Sometimes a 5 star doesn't perform early in college but obviously they are

still rated pretty highly going into draft.

In our heads, but never in our hearts. I'll take a team of plucky 5'10" 2-stars any day.
