They don't give out Heisman to QBs who turn the ball over six times in 1 game

Perhaps the old LaSalle Hotel Bldg where George Gipp lived when he allegedly matriculated at ND?

We can talk Styles, Tyler, Logan, Rees, and Kollie, but that comment was hard to hear from the former Irish stand out. Very disappointing.

To be so attached to an individual player and the need to be right about him, that those words would come out of your mouth. smdh

Over the line. And let’s face it, Bama wasn’t a ND OC&QB away from elite.

Get real! Alabama is loaded and if Buchner magically changes and starts playing great for Bama!!! THAT is NOT good for Notre Dame.

At some point people like you (and Goolsby apparently) need to decide if you are "ND fans" or fans of "players/coaches" you favor and predicted to be good, that now you desperately need to succeed, so that you can be right...to the point that even when they jump ship over to our sworn enemies that represent the polar opposite of everything ND stands for, you will still pull for them (and by connection our enemy) to have great success.

I'm not saying you gotta root against the kid, but he's not Irish anymore BY CHOICE, and he switched to the dark side, so you shouldn't be hoping he has great success under an enemy flag..that is opposite to supporting ND.

Any Irish player or coach, who leaves us to go to the likes of Bama, Tosu, USC, LSU, Miami.....or michigan!! Should not expect our support, and we should not give it.

Wouldn't you love to beat Alabama head to head. I would, but obviously my first priority is beating anyone in the finals. If someone told me you could meet Alabama in the finals and see what happens, I'd take it in a heartbeat.

but have no need to see Buchner have great success for Bama. I'm not ill wishing him (or Rees) or wanting him to get injured, but I will not pull for them to have great success either. Success for them = success for Bama, and Bama is on a short list of teams I despise, so their whole program can choke on a bag of 'em for all I care.

Your words were not as condemning as Goolsby's but your sentiment is not that far removed...you showed a strong bias to Buchner over Hartman and then when dude jumps ship just because he sees writing on the wall (almighty Buchner not ND enough to up his game and try to win the QB competition, what though the odds) you are wishing him great success playing under the flag of Bama.

No, and, Thanks! He's not our QB anymore BY his choice, I have no wishes for him positive or negative.

sorry for the kid because the injuries really never allowed him to live up to his potential. Funny what you say about Bama or bumma as I often call them about probably claiming a national title.
