Kelly signed Keil, Golson & Zaire at QB. All three were studs in high school. All coaches are playing catchup in their first year. Kelly did get Louis Nix, Prince Shembo & T J Jones. His second class was Alabama good. Aaron Lynch, Ishaq Williams, Stephon Tuitt, Mathais Farley & Davaris Daniels. His third class - Sheldon Day, Ronnie Stanley, Jarron Jones, C J Prosise & Romeo Okwara. Like all schools some guys leave and some don't pan out. To say Freeman is a better recruiter right now? To early to tell.

So yes, he was brought in by Brian Kelly. He was also never given a fair shake, and the fact that he put up some nice numbers at Cincy tell me that he could have done a very fine job here.
I think you were referring to Louis Nix, who committed to Charlie Weis, and stayed on board even after Weis had been terminated.
