Stuckey certainly seems to have a WR type 6'2-6'3 200lbs + possession guys!

Since arriving in South Bend, Notre Dame’s receivers coach had landed the following receivers: Braylon James (#125), Jaden Greathouse (#138), Rico Flores (#223), Kaleb Smith (#542), Cam Williams (#29), Isiah Canion (#194), Micah Gilbert (#199).

Kaleb Smith is not a possession Reciever. He’s one of the fastest WRs in Texas. Also, they’re in good shape with Robinson in this class. I have a lot of issues with the ‘24 class (mostly Defense), but Stuckey has been a God Send.

Thread Level: 2

Yeah... But it would be nice to have some Will Fuller-Golden Tate types on the roster...

Tobias Merriweather - 10.93

Braden Lenzy - 10.64

Not too shabby.

Where did you find an open 100 for James because those events are right after another?? Tyree would've been a 10.38-10-44 guy if not for Covid and basically missing his last 2 years of outdoor Track.

They are run right after another and I've never seen a 100 time for Braylon James of TX but found another Braylon James. I remember coaching AAU and saw him run it with the Thunderboltz but it was somewhere in the mid 11 range but he was probably 14, but I'll search that.

big frames to grow into. This could just as easily be attributed to Al Washington. In the end, it is a team recruiting effort but they definitely have a model they are going for at each position and Freeman is the guy with the final say on what that model will be. I love the model they have and the recruiting operation as a whole.

And I agree with you, the model at WR is definitely the 6'2"-6'3" and 200+ pound types.

It's was ugly football, but effective. Cardinal WR were big, but not that athletic, and would box out smaller DBs for the ball. Given Stanford had an old school ground and pound, could be that's how ND rolls...

For every Will Fuller, we get far bigger, stronger, slower WRs that are excellent at what they do. ND isn't the choice of the Randy Moss type receiver, otherwise the roster would have 5 star WR. But, that doesn't mean the guys at WR can't do their assignments just as effectively...

BTW, Cam Williams is ranked as a 5 star. And so was what's his name (seriously, I can't remember his name) who transfered out a couple years ago.

That being said, tOSU is the gold standard for WRs and we aren't on their level. I'd put ours up against Bama's or Clemson's though.
