Yeah they don't seem to work out great most of the time. But in Urlacher's case he had quality offers. He may even wind up as a hybrid linebacker. Let's give the kid a chance before branding him as a wasted scholarship.

No, his offers were mid at best. He was a bad take, especially at a position of need.

Literally 2 of those teams made bowl games. And TCU was a fluke.
All Power 5 programs. Iowa and Illinois offered as well. That's 4 bowl teams.

Smart kid, strong athlete
At this point in time, I'm happy with Urlacher committing. He's an excellent athlete, a strong hitter, and has an excellent football IQ.
He has a lot of upside, and I suspect he'll earn that 4th star during his senior year.

He doesn’t have the skills to play Safety, so unless he grows like his dad, he’s a bust. Maybe they should figure out how to get Tae Johnson eligible or pay Jaylen McClain.
