He had shoulder surgery in Feb and doesn't enroll until June.
Nobody will know where he fits on their depth chart until late August, and even then, he's got four years to move up.

True freshman, so not unusual
Alabama is loaded with defensive line talent, and a lot of it is already developed.
He's going to have to really stand out in fall camp to get any kind of meaningful playing time. Either that, or bide his time until the 1st-3rd teamers leave.
