This one hurts, since he's a defensive lineman, and potentially a really good one.
I'm not sure if this coincides with Loghan Thomas' trend.

That suggests it was somewhat mutual.

Getting 5-stars poached is one thing, but if you can't hold onto 3-stars...Rut Roh Raggy!
Still trying to get clarification on that but he was contacted by ND first and obviously told something after Golden and Washington went to his school.
I assume Wafle became aware of that fact.
and I'm not claiming to know one way or another, but is it fact or typical spin to make light of losing a recruit.
Question is whether it's about an alleged visit to Michigan, or was he told we have some prospects at same position we're really looking at that we value more and it's a numbers crunch.
so I'll buy that.

There will be a lot more commitments and de commitments by the time signing day comes. Hence Peyton Bowen. Let it all play out and don’t stress the little things fellow Irish fans. Notre dame is not for everyone.
This staff is officially fuckin dumb. Wafle was a low ceiling/high floor, but a fuck ton better than Sevillano.
Sevillano got offed by Ohio State, Auburn and Miami over the last couple months. He appears to be a rising prospect.

How? Sevillano is another project.
Did the staff like Sevillano better than Wafle or did they take Sevillano because Wafle was decommitting? Either way, losing Wafle would sting a lot more of there was no one to replace him.
McSwain said he was solid but continued to take visits to other schools, which bothered the staff and Freeman's rule. Seems with Wafle he was informed that they had higher priority prospects during or after he was visited by Golden last week.

My initial guess of Thomas coming on board (hopefully) wasn't much of a factor, seeing how Michigan already has 3 solid DL committed.
I'd have to guess now that Mike Elston worked some magic for them.
I get that guys want a path to play. ND may have backed off of him or maybe he wasn’t feeling the love. In any case, good luck to him. Sounds like it’s Thomas and Rushing as the main targets at Edge.
It’s either to make room for Sevilllano or Scott.

Michigan already has several DL (ends included) committed, and they're all solidly ranked, so I'm guessing pursuing Thomas and Rushing might not have been too much of a factor.
If anything, Mike Elston becoming Michigan's recruiting coordinator may have had more to do with it.
But I'd have Wafle right in front of Sevillano and Harvey🤷
Fuck.
Why? It was a mutual parting. However, if they take another
Fuckin 3* in Sevillano, I’m going to be pissed.
I just know it's hard to find 300lb interior DL who will come to ND and this doesn't seem like a situation where academics or money would be a factor. Fuck.
That’s why the staff better be damn sure, they’ve got a better replacement on board.
Or you’re screwed. Too bad it wasn’t Rezac or Hobbs
