If they really wanted him to down it at the one, you'd think that conversation would have occurred before the snap. And if it did, God help us.

Duke did not have enough time anyway given their lack of a passing game. I am holding our breathe for every attempt with our kicker.
Duke deserved to win though. They outplayed ND. Guess this is what it feels like to be on the other end of the OSU game.

You take the sure thing, and with Duke only having 30 seconds left, along with a quarterback whose biggest weapon was taken away (his scrambling), it was the right thing to do (score the TD).
