for an explanation why there are so many missed tackles week-after-week. Would love to hear Freeman dance around that question.......Missed tackles was a common occurrence even during the Kelly years!

Every team misses tackles.
ND's D has been great this year and just held an offense averaging over 40 a game to 14 pts. That's with ND's offense hanging them out to dry quite a bit.
May be being a little hard on the lads and coaching staff on this one.
Here would by my questions to you.
How many missed tackles is a lot? How are you tracking missed tackles? Who is missing the tackles and what are the circumstances to those missed tackles?
It was mentioned game before last, we were 115th in the nation in tackling (missed tackles).

for a team that is (according to ?) one of the worst tackling teams in the country.

It may be true which is why I'm asking the question. Tackles get missed in modern football. Fans overreact in modern football. Would be curious if ND really is poor at tackling compared to other school. I admittedly have no rewatched any games where I wasn't emotionally involved.
