Between not getting open, committing offensive P.I.'s, and critical drops, they were a huge liability last weekend.
Add in Tyree's inexplicably stupid decision on the punt return, and we're almost better off running the Wishbone.

I’m excited for how much depth we will have next year at wr. These freshman can play.

as Hartman. Two years taking the #2 snaps in what is essentially the same system. Unflappable by all accounts. Smart and has looked good and natural every time we've seen him. Everything we've heard about him has been positive going back for a long time. Wasn't a super-highly rated recruit but played in a run-heavy offense in HS so he didn't get to throw it all over the place and had a Covid-shortened senior season. Did well in the Elite 11 and ESPN had him ranked #179 nationally which, while higher than other sites, indicates that one top industry entity was pretty high on him.
Not saying he'd be CJ Stroud next year, but the idea we'd drop off a cliff from Hartman to Angeli is a premature judgement. Angeli lacks for nothing compared to Hartman physically or athletically. What makes Hartman a very good QB more than anything else is his eyes, brains, and calm pocket presence. I see a lot of that in Angeli.
in the back alley to discuss the issue.

Angeli, Minchey and Carr is not a bad group to pull from.
