He said they tell the refs what trick plays they may use and who will be involved. The guy said the refs would
have been told ahead #68 was the eligible player also. He said the refs totally screwed it up. My son told me the announcer was former coach, Rex Ryan, so I think he would know.
Either 68 didn't report or the ref screwed up who reported. If the ref had reported 68 to the Cowboys as he should have, then maybe 68 would have been covered. But we'll never know.

would be focusing on 70 not 68.
The ref screwed up. The NFL knows it and the crew is now probably not doing any playoff games.

No one screwed up. They did exactly what the league wanted. The league wants popular teams going further. Gave Brady and a few others insane protection and every call imaginable.
No one cares about the lions…..
Sure they could have won, but no doubt the league preferred the cowboys to win.
