Or do we have to worry one of these NFL teams is going to poach him????

Either he wants to be at ND or he doesn't. It's his choice.
If he wants to be a NFL coach, he won't stay at ND because of $.
But I guarantee certain vacancies are more interesting to him than others..
Are you a relative?
Or his agent?
Or do you just know?
Are you a relative? A friend? Yet you made a pronouncement that money would not factor into his decision not 5 minutes ago. Newsflash genius: there are better and worse NFL jobs, and money IS a factor for almost everyone.
There is such a vast difference in coaching in the pros vs coaching in college, that money with have nothing to do with what he chooses.
And it is not as if he is going to cash in by going pro. On average, NFL offensive and defensive coordinators have an annual salary of $1 million. Golden is already double that average at ND.
News flash: money is rarely a prime reason what people change jobs. I've worked in HR for more than 40 years specializing in employee compensation.
By the way ace, you the one who said "I guarantee certain vacancies are more interesting to him than others."
How the fuck would you know?
I can’t imagine living in the South Bend area for an extended period of time. The weather absolutely sucks 8-9 months of the year and South Bend itself is an abhorrent shithole. Yes there are neighborhoods north of campus in Granger but the area in general is horrible.
Funny, I have also worked in an HR advisory role for 25 years - your time is about up if you've been a spreadsheet jockey for 40 years. Fact is, in highly compensated industries, money is absolutely a primary factor in moving the talent.
As to how the fuck I know that there are objectively better or worse situations that are more and less attractive? How do you think I know old man? Because it's FUCKING OBVIOUS. For example, does Al Golden know and like Brian Daboll? If he does, then the Giants DC job would be more attractive than a job with, eg, the Panthers, which has more chaos. You make all-knowing pronouncements like you know everything, when I asked a simple question at the outset. You're a cantankerous old man - hope you can keep that job if you act that way at work. Good day to you.
It was an older piece, talking about if Golden would go to NFL. I agree that if he likes where he is, then he'll stay.
If he's burning to be an NFL DC, he'll go
I hope he likes where he is!
