After the FSU bowl game fiasco, the players will poll who is going to opt-out before accepting
a minor bowl bid. When the starters opt-out, the whole team will opt-out.
The knock-on effect will be whole team opt-outs of minor bowls becoming the default.
The only way that gravy train ends is if people stop going to and watching the games. Which I'll be honest, I watch far less than I did in years past.

That way the schools get paid, but it would be more meaningful from a "game" standpoint.

For all non-playoff games, turn it into a European soccer type event where it's played at the beginning of the following year. Obviously, the rosters wouldn't be the same but they aren't in the Champions League either.
I don't necessarily agree with it, but at least it's unique.
