He even got the 49'ers to a Super Bowl, and had Alex Smith been QB'ing that team, they would have won it.

He's already getting almost 10 million a year, has a nice warm climate, amazing Cajun food, and a very talent-rich state in which to recruit. That, plus he has a lot more control over the program at LSU that what he did at ND.
Michigan used to be one of the more fertile grounds for college talent, and still produces decent talent, but it's not quite what it used to be.
