were harder for me than the decision to go for it. In fact, one of those 4th down tries was good if the NFL receiver makes an easy catch.
It happened most of all because we, the Lions, are very flawed…..we lack good DB’s and safeties. WR #1’s have eaten us alive all year, but our offense covered for us. Dan Camp ell and Ben Johnson coaching covered for us.
I loved it when we beat Kansas City in the season opener, but they were without Kelce, and hadn’t gel’d yet.
If we played Mahomes now with these DB’s, we would have to win a very high scoring shoot out….but KC has a very good defense. In other words, we weren’t going to win the SB anyways……not yet.
Get a safety and a DB in the draft. Given our lower picks, I hope we try to pick up Cam Hart in Round 3.
Seems to be working out, but we could use a WR1, Rashee Rice could become that guy.

Taunting and celebrations are for the weak-minded. Get back to the huddle and do it again...like you are supposed to.

Ask Pete Carroll. Probably future HOFer. Fire him for the 2015 SB goalline pass call?
Campbell got the Lions to yesterday by aggressive play calling. His sin? The play didn't work.
Hindsight being 20/20. Maybe they should have fired Pete after that Super Bowl. Never got them back there.
The stats for "going for it" on 4th down are distorted by the key situations when a team desperately needs it. When you have a lead, play the percentages to build the lead. Two fiel goals = :Lions win.
