One merely needs to look at how many Georgia, Alabama, FSU, USC, Michigan players were drafted to understand why we keep losing 3-4 games each year. The talent is improving but those teams did far better in the draft and in the season ending rankings than we did. Who cares that we had a bunch of players drafted 30-50 years ago.

-ND has fast become the nation’s elite OL school
-ND needs to develop its skill players to reach the level of the OL
-Al Golden has made a big difference on the defensive side of the ball (4 of 7 of the draftees)

2004's class had zero draft picks from it.
I may be mistaken, but 2005's class had one draft pick from it (David Bruton).
