Has there been a better receiver since him at ND? None that I recall.

If we look at our WR1's through the last several years...
2020: Javon McKinley - More of a WR2 playing in the WR1 spot, and while he did a decent job (42 catches, 717 yards), he didn't really command double teams the way that Claypool, Fuller, or even Bokyin did.
2021: Kevin Austin - Better as a WR1 in his sole year of productivity (48 catches, 888 yards), but there were so many mistakes he made due to the lack of experience.
2022: We didn't really have a WR1 on that team, much less a QB who could get the ball to the receivers.
2023: Chris Tyree (26 catches, 484 yards) was probably the best WR on the team until Jordan Faison came along. The fact that a walk-on player ended up being our best receiver at the year's end showed how bad the WR situation has been under Del Alexander and Chansi Stuckey.
I think that Kevin Austin had the potential to have a really nice year had he stuck around in 2022, but the QB situation was terrible, and Drew Pyne wouldn't have looked in his direction, especially if it were over the middle.
As Frankx pointed out above, we haven't heard any news about his antics recently, so hopefully he gets his head straightened out and becomes the player that he can truly be.
